Common Questions

Do I need to set up a South African company?

No. That's the whole point of our EOR service. TwoOceans EOR becomes the legal employer, so you don't need to register with CIPC, SARS, or any other South African authorities.

What happens if I need to terminate an employee?

We handle terminations in full compliance with South African labour law, including notice periods, severance calculations (if applicable), and exit documentation. Fair reason and fair procedure must still be followed.

Can I hire contractors instead of employees?

Yes, we can assist with contractor arrangements too. However, be aware that South Africa has strict rules around distinguishing employees from contractors. We can advise on proper structuring to avoid misclassification risks.
